Singing & Driving

If you MUST speed on the highway, sing these hymns loudly:

at 45 mph.... "God Will Take Care of Me"
at 55 mph.... "Guide me, O Great Jehovah"
at 65 mph.... "Nearer My God to Thee"
at 75 mph.... "Nearer Still Nearer"
at 85 mph.... "This World is Not My Home"
at 95 mph.... "Lord, I'm Coming Home"
at 100 mph.... "Precious Memories"

Have I ever mentioned that I often sing while I'm driving alone?

Speaking of speeding....... I got my first ticket in my life today.
While driving down a really steep hill. Believe it or not, the speed is only 50kmh going down a super steep mountain, and today the cops we hiding and catching hundreds of people.
I got a $140 ticket for going 20 km over the speed limit! There is zero tolerance in BC for speeding even just a bit over.
Grrr

Cheryl, I got my one and only speeding ticket just over a year ago. I was stopped just before entering Shari's neighbourhood. The police officer was very gracious and reduced the ticket. I was driving the gadgetmobile; the officer asked if I was driving my own car! HAHAHA!!

Holly, according to this list, I probably should be singing 'Nearer My God to Thee'.

Jen, I defitely think in 'kms'. I had to stop and think what my highway speed is in 'miles'. It sounds so much 'slower', don't you think!!

Roxanne said...

ooops! I 'definitely'....not 'defitely' think in kms. Honestely I don't drive and type.

Roxanne said...

That would be 'honestly'...not 'honestely'. Maybe I SHOULD drink and type!

Jen, I laughed so hard when I spotted my second typo. I even called Mom and told on myself. For your information...I work with the school board as an educational assistant AND a secretary. Pretty scarey, eh?
