The Tale of My Big Toe

Once upon a time I had feet the could be seen in sandals.
However...that time is no more....at least for now.
Sandal season is fast approaching. For some it is already here.

I have just come from a doctor's appointment. I have been referred to
a specialist because the toe nail still doesn't appear healthy.

You will be thankful that I do not own a digital camera, nor do I know
how to post photos anyway(I will master this in time!).
Take my word for it, my toe "ain't pretty".
Tammy would NOT want to do a pedicure for me anytime soon.

I am praying that the nail will be healed BEFORE my appointment with the specialist.
When the healing comes I may even post a photo of my big toe so you can see
"the rest of the story".

Oh no, I was really hoping that the doctoc would have better news. It's hard to believe that a toe could cause this much money and time.....would you like Kevin to just "cut it off"?

....I see a big toe......

What kind of professional are you going to anyways?? A doctoc?

Now that it's being a pain, I bet you appreciate your toes more eh? All the body parts are so important!

Ok Roxanne,

I have to get the giggles out of my system . Like your sister the first thing that came to mind was the "I see a big toe"......

Seriously though, I pray that God does heal this toe-completely and you are able to be pain free and enjoy the summer without this hindrance.

I have seen this colourful toe with the nail that does not seem to want to heal.

I think that you need to speak to your toe. Start calling it lovely and so it will be!!

Rhonda, this reminds me of Sandi Patti's old song that includes lyrics, "BEAUTIFUL FEET".

When I told one of my kids that I'm supposed to see another doctor about my toe I heard a comment, that goes something like this...
"I hope the doctor is female and not male, especially if he's single. He sure wouldn't want to date you if he saw your gross toe."

Oh boy did I laugh!!

Love the PINK Roxanne...you might have noticed, I am a little partial to the color...
Perfect color for the expression of girly girls....

My sweet pea, Lindsay has really gross toes as well. They are thick are yucky yellow, and grow many icky layers..... but I'm just glad she can walk! Someday those toes will be perfect!

HI Roxanne, you will be happy to know that I am now an official blogger. I need your e-mail address to add you to my list. Has anyone heard of the song "popsicle toes". By Diane Krall. Very fitting for summer. You'll be ready, Roxanne.
Fellow newbie, Tammy
Is the big toe the one that goes to market?
